May seems to have been a bit less productive in terms of reading, but as the weather finally got better, I’ve spent more time outdoors – walking, and I’ve also been catching up on TV shows!
So this month’s wrap up consists of 6 awesome books.
Mrs Everything by Jennifer Weiner
This was definitely my Top Pick of the Month. Just an amazing book. It reminds us we really need to live the life we want to live – chase dreams. 5/5. Read my thoughts here.
Matchmaking for Beginners by Maddie Dawson
An addictive read – full of loveable quirky characters. Reminds us to appreciate all the surprises life has to offer, if you are only open to them. The perfect pallet cleanser! 4/5. Read full review here.
All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover
Wowzer! Heartbreaking story of a couples story of loss, infertility, and how they lose and find themselves again throughout the journey. Emotionally charged booked! 4.5/5. Review here.
My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing
Dexter meets Mr & Mrs Smith meets YOU. Good physiological read, but sure it quite lived up to the hype though. 3.5/5. Read my thoughts here.
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
My first Christina Lauren read, and I was not disappointed. I am not a huge rom-com reader, but occasionally it’s just what I need … This book was laugh out loud funny, and an awesome book for summer. 4/5. Read my full review here.
Final read of the month … back to my favourite crime fiction/detective series.
Dead Inside by Noelle Holten
Centres around domestic abuse. This book was a real rollercoaster – it had it all; it was gruesome, emotional and twisted. 4/5. Read my thoughts here.
And that’s a wrap on May! A huge thank you to NetGalley, publishers and authors for my review copies of some of these books – this in no way influenced my reviews. If any of you have read these books and want to discuss further … ping me a note 🙂
