Book Review: Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon

After loving Outlander so much, I pretty much started book 2 straight away – Dragonfly in Amber!

Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon

Genre: Historical Fiction

BUG Rating: 4.5/5

Overall: I LOVED this book. I have totally fallen in love with Gabaldon’s writing style and have really enjoyed losing myself in the last two books. The story and cast of characters are so well crafted, rich and highly addictive! The book was full of magic, passion and heartbreak (including many death and sex scenes!) I was beside myself at the end – the most intense of all cliffhangers – be warned! I am so ready to dive into book 3 to see what happens next!

Now a legacy of blood and desire will test her beautiful copper-haired daughter, Brianna, as Claire’s spellbinding journey of self-discovery continues in the intrigue-ridden Paris court of Charles Stuart …in a race to thwart a doomed Highlands uprising …and in a desperate fight to save both the child and the man she loves….
