Book Review: A good girl’s guide to murder by Holly Jackson

I read this nearly a month ago now – see, this is what I mean SO behind on my reviews, but I am NEARLY up to date now!

A good girl’s guide to murder by Holly Jackson

Genre: YA mystery/Thriller

BUG Rating: 4.5/5

Overall: This actually came out nearly a year ago in the UK but due to it’s recent Americanisation and US release, it’s gained ALL THE HYPE. And for a good reason … this book is SO good! Nancy Drew meet Pretty Little Liars! I am SO there!

It’s a mystery/thriller YA following Pippa. A straight A student who is working on her final project and she choses the topic of Andie Bell. A school girl that was murdered five years ago by Sal Singh. The more Pip works on her project the more convinced she is that Sal wasn’t the killer- what if the real killer is still out there?

The plot os fantastic, the pace is perfect. I was kept engrossed throughout, eager to turn the pages, and finished this in just over a day! Totally binge worthy and if you loved One of Us is lying or the Sun Down Motel – you’ll want to read this. I am SO excited for the sequel coming this year! Thanks @thespines for the rec!

The case is closed. Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by Sal Singh. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it.

But having grown up in the same small town that was consumed by the murder, Pippa Fitz-Amobi isn’t so sure. When she chooses the case as the topic for her final year project, she starts to uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay hidden. And if the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?
