Book Review: Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager

After being totally obsessed with Riley Sager’s latest novel, Lock Every Door, I just had to go back to his others!

Last time I lied by Riley Sager

Genre: Thriller, Suspense, Psychological thriller

BUG Rating: 4/5

Overall: Wowzer! WHAT.A.READ. Riley Sager has done it again with this psychological suspense thriller! A book full of secrets and lies taking the characters to breaking point – it was fairly fast paced, and was a real page turner that kept me up at night. Riley’s writing totally nailed it yet again; conjuring up a real creepy, moody atmosphere- made even creepier by my own surroundings being in a cabin, in the forest … by a lake! The ending wrapped up a bit too quickly for me, but I did LOVE the epic twist. Looking forward to getting my hands on Riley Sager’s Final Girls next!!

Sometimes a lie is more than a lie. Sometimes it’s the only way to win.

Have you ever played two truths and a lie?

It was Emma’s first summer away from home. She made friends. She played games. And she learned how to lie.

Then three of her new friends went into the woods and never returned. . .

Now, years later, Emma has been asked to go back to the newly re-opened Camp Nightingale. She thinks she’s laying old ghosts to rest but really she’s returning to the scene of a crime.
